Friday, 13th December 2013

Three of the UK's top singer-songwriters will be performing together at a handful of intimate venues. Our very own Danny George Wilson and Peter Bruntnell will assume their positions next to the equally unmissable Neil Halstead.Danny, having released his latest, hugely praised record "Stay True" with his Champions Of The World back in September, has since been wowing the crowds with his incredible new songs, with a number of people claiming these shows to have been amongst the top gigs they'd ever witnessed. How about that.Meanwhile, Peter Bruntnell ("one of Britain’s finest and most overlooked songwriters" – The Line Of Best Fit) released his Retrospective album back in the summer - a collection of songs from his outstanding back catalogue of albums, alongside a new version of Played Out, featuring Rumor.Neil Halstead, previously known for his bands Slowdive and Mojave 3, following two solo records released through 4AD and then Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records label, has most recently released an album as a member of Black Hearted Brother. Neil'll fit in perfectly, being another "one of Britain's greatest songwriters" (Time Out).Tickets are on sale now. “there’s always been a sense of a tasteful restraint to the studio albums but unleashed on stage with their raspy vocals and heartland rock and soul, they’re like a power station on steroids.”

ROBERT ELMS, BBC LONDON

“songs like This Is Not a Love Song and and Stay True which come at you one after the other; are destined to make ‘new fans’ wonder why these kids aren’t topping the bill at Glastonbury with their magic formula and bittersweet songs.”
