Hurray For The Riff Raff's Session & Interview For NPR

Wednesday, 20th June 2012

Alynda & co. appeared on NPR last week, as part of the New Orleans "Sense Of Place" series. We recommend you listen to the full programme of "Ani DiFranco's Fresh Perspective On New Orleans", although, if you insist on skipping straight to HFTRR live in session and an interview with Alynda, it  all begins about 17 mins in.Seems as though Ani DiFranco really likes Hurray For The Riff Raff.As does Ann Powers. NPR music critic, Ann Powers "completely falling in love with Hurray For The Riff Raff" and claiming she's obsessed with them is a pretty big deal, so we were thrilled to hear this stream of Ann saying just that on NPR the other day, before playing a track off the new album (about 6mins in). A discussion worth hearing. For a taste of what to expect from their forthcoming UK tour, nyctaper are hosting a free download of Friday night's show at The Mercury Lounge.
