BIRDS FLYING BACKWARDS
13:45 - 14:15
Birds Flying Backwards are a London-based six-piece formed by friends and family of principal songwriter JR Sanders. Their sound is eclectic, shifting fluidly from 70s folk (as heard on One Heartbreak to Another) to psychedelia (Who Are We?) and spiritual jazz (2024’s Surrender to The Void II). The band gained attention in 2024 while touring with The Hanging Stars and with the release of their ambitious debut EP, 'Surrender to The Void'. Their first full-length album, the Americana-leaning Lovebirds, is slated for release in early 2026.

14:45 - 15:30
Hailing from New Orleans and making their UK debut are the most recent Loose signing 'Greazy Alice'. They bring a unique sound - part dive bar grit, part honky-tonk piano - matched with songs that are introspective, well-crafted, and evocative of a specific time and place. Their EP 'Just Another One' is out September 2nd.

BONNIE DOBSON & THE HANGING STARS
16:00 - 16:45
Straight off the back of their hit new album 'Dreams', we are delighted that folk legend Bonnie Dobson and The Hanging Stars will be gracing the Loose stage. Described as a "brilliant fruitful collaboration" by KLOF Mag, 'Dreams' captures the unmistakable shimmering sound of The Stars combined with Bonnie's unique purity of voice.

GILL LANDRY
17:15 - 18:00
Gill Landry is a two-time Grammy Award–winning singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and visual artist. An unflinching storyteller and fluid guitarist, his music has drawn comparisons to legends like Dylan, Prine, Townes, Cohen, and Waits, though with a perspective uniquely his own. Releasing six solo albums and playing thousands of shows throughout his career, Gill is a true veteran of the scene.
THE ROCKINGBIRDS
18:30 - 19:15
The Rockingbirds are the Wrangler-clad country rockers who upended the early '90s Camden indie scene with their love of twangy guitars and soaring harmony vocals. Their debut album on the Heavenly label was much acclaimed, they toured widely and made TV appearances on Top Of The Pops and Later… Though commercial success escaped them, they went on, eventually, to notch up four great albums (including one for Loose), and their singular story is told in singer Alan Tyler’s delightful new memoir, How To Never Have A Hit. Not exactly a “Greatest Hits” set at the Long Road, then, but with most of the original members still on board, you can expect The Very Best Of The Rockingbirds this time.
BOBBIE
19:45 - 20:30
We are very excited to welcome French singer-songwriter Bobbie to the Loose stage. Her music tells her personal story, combining a soulful modern sound with classic Americana influences from the records she listened to as a child. Bobbie will be playing tracks from her critically acclaimed debut album 'The Sacred in the Ordinary'. This is Bobbie’s only UK festival show in 2025, and she will be bringing her full band to the Loose Takeover.
"The Sacred in the Ordinary is her debut album. It is also a masterpiece."

DANNY & THE CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD
21:00 - 21:45
Loose legends Danny & The Champions Of The World will be closing the night playing their unique selection of songs that have captured the hearts of many over the years. Their most recent album 'You Are Not A Stanger Here' was released in 2024 to huge critical acclaim, blending a more eclectic influence and modern techniques with Danny George Wilson's stellar songwriting.
