Native Harrow's New Album 'Old Kind Of Magic' Out Today

Friday, 28th October 2022

Native Harrow's new album Old Kind Of Magic is out today and finds them arriving in a new land, specifically, Sussex, England, where they have self-produced a work that is simultaneously their most sweepingly expansive and delicately intimate to date. The songs move dramatically from the opening field recording of the Brighton seaside, to Laurel Canyon-esque folk-rock, piano and rhodes tinged soul-jazz balladry, oud and harpsichord driven 60's technicolor psychedelia, dense modernistic string quartet writing, and wide-as-the western skies panoramic pedal steel with sepia toned 12-string.

“razor-sharp folk rock”

"consistently excellent set of songs"

“this is a beautiful album to savour, slowly, one song at a time”

“ripples with that mythologized Laurel Canyon vibe yet also carries that distinct and unmistakable Native Harrow DNA which has become more unique and refined with each iteration”

To mark the album's release, Native Harrow will be playing the first show of their UK in-store tour at 6:15pm this evening at Rough Trade West in London before heading to Union Music Store in Lewes tomorrow. More details can be found here.

Old Kind Of Magic is out now on black vinyl LP, CD and digitally. Grab a copy/stream it here.
