New Danny & The Champs Record Out On Monday: A Message From Danny
Saturday, 30th May 2015
The FANTASTIC new Danny & The Champions Of The World, album, 'What Kind Of Love', is out on Monday! Here's a message from Danny...
Hey Folks!
Hope it's all good at your end..all's great here. I'm absolutely thrilled that our new album 'What Kind Of Love' is coming out on Monday... This is the 13th album, if you include all the Grand Drive stuff, that I'll have put out there into the world... If you'd have told me when I was 16 years old that I'd be making a record, let alone this many, I would've bitten your hand off... I love it now like I did back then, probably more. The first records we ever released were on Loose and I'm incredibly proud that I still call them my friends and my record label... they're great people. I'm honoured to play with such a talented bunch as The Champs and I'm super proud of this album that we've made... it feels good to be where we are right now... Thank you everyone for all the goodwill and support, it's humbling to be honest... it means a lot. Huge thanks also to everyone who contributed and who made it all happen. Right now you can hear a stream of the full album via the good folks at 'The Line Of Best Fit' along with a track by track commentary by yours truly.... You know the sketch... a bit of chit chat... background bits and bobs to go along with the tunes... Also we're hitting the road in June... A bunch of shows around the UK... If you're versed in Champs stuff you'll know that this is what we love to do, so please do come out and say hello, bring a friend, grab a beer... and bring your dancing shoes.
Can't wait to see you all,
Big Love,

“there’s always been a sense of a tasteful restraint to the studio albums but unleashed on stage with their raspy vocals and heartland rock and soul, they’re like a power station on steroids.”
“This is a proper old school live album, makes you want to go to a gig”
ROBERT ELMS, BBC LONDON
“songs like This Is Not a Love Song and and Stay True which come at you one after the other; are destined to make ‘new fans’ wonder why these kids aren’t topping the bill at Glastonbury with their magic formula and bittersweet songs.”
