ROBERT FISHER is a big man with a big, booming baritone and big heart.His work over the past 15 years as leader of alt-country collective Willard Grant Conspiracy is one of those typical "best kept secrets". (That's my Conspiracy theory, anyway)This retrospective album visits songs form the back catalogue in reworked, stripped-down settings and, if anything, Robert presents them in even shaper relief. Among the 18 tracks are favorites such as Soft Hand and Ghost Of The Girl in the Well. Overall a fabulous introduction to a man in a singular musical Journey.(Click for zoom)
