The Independent Shares Courtney Marie Andrews' New Video For 'Took You Up'

The Independent have shared Courtney Marie Andrews' wonderful new video for Took You Up, directed by Giraffe Studios in LA. Courtney tells them the song is "about a low-class American couple the narrator of the song who sees all the trends in their life, but knows that their relationship is far more important than taking up an offer. It’s far more important than the materialism that precedes us sometimes. It’s about experiencing love through poverty."Read the full interview with Courtney here and watch the video below. Courtney's UK tour starts tomorrow night in Leeds, ahead of which, Courtney will be playing a couple of songs at Leeds' Gallery at 164 for the opening of Marion Still's photography exhibition.
